Do the reps
Nobody sells outbound they don't practice themselves — the founder still dials for client accounts.
Closemint isn't run by people who used to sell. The founder still dials for client accounts today.
The short version
I've spent five years in sales. I built and scaled an EdTech business on cold calling, selling across different industries, and learned what separates outbound that books meetings from outbound that burns lists.
Most agencies I saw were run by people who'd stopped dialling years earlier — or had never dialled at all. The scripts were generic, the callers were reading off a screen for a dozen unrelated clients, and nobody on the account could tell you why a call actually worked. Closemint is what I wished existed when I was the one buying outbound.
Every caller starts by shadowing live calls before they're allowed to run their own. They learn the script's logic, not just the words — why a line exists, what objection it's answering, when to go off-script and think. I review call recordings every week, and a caller who's reading rather than talking gets pulled and retrained before they touch another client's list.
Nobody works a script on your account that hasn't been tested on a real call first. That includes mine.
We won't run auto-dialled robocalls, buy a list and blast it without a script built for your buyer, or promise a meeting count we can't back up with recordings and reports. If outbound isn't going to work for your offer, we'll say so on the first call instead of taking the retainer anyway.
